Location
The 18,627 acre (7,541 ha) Mosher Lake Property is located 90 kilometers northwest of Yellowknife and is crossed by the Snare River power line and winter road. The claims cover the 20 kilometer long Mosher Lake Greenstone Belt, which hosts two gold showings in a geological setting similar to the Yellowknife Gold Mining camp.
The Yellowknife Region
This famous Canadian mining district has produced a total of over 13 million ounces of gold. Currently producing mines are the Con (5 million ounces) and the Giant (8 million ounces). The Discovery Mine, a former producer, yielded one million ounces from a saddle reef near a sediment - volcanic contact. After 2 years of drilling, 74 holes totaling 15,000 meters have tested the Ormsby Zone with very encouraging results. The Nicholas Lake Deposit and the Ptarmigan Mine are also significant gold occurrences in the Yellowknife District.
