Summer Exploration Program Details
Mosher Lake Property
Firesteel Resources Inc. announces the
commencement of the exploration program on the Mosher Lake Gold
Property, located 90 kilometres north of Yellowknife, NWT. This program
will consist of geological mapping, soil and rock geochemistry,
prospecting, trenching and re-logging of core from the recent drilling
program.
The primary objective of this program
will be to evaluate the belt of volcanic rocks in the northern part of
the property. In this region, Drill Hole M97-17 intersected a thick,
mineralized stockwork/shear zone with encouraging gold values.
Particular attention will be devoted to evaluating a number of magnetic
and electromagnetic anomalies which trend north from this drill hole for
several kilometres. Detailed mapping and core re-logging will be
performed to validate the concept of a steeply plunging thick bulge of
high-grade mineralization.
The results of the summer program will
be utilized to formulate the next stage of drilling planned for the
winter season.
